Benzotriazole provides corrosion protection for metal materials such as copper, aluminum, cast iron, nickel, and zinc. It can be combined with various corrosion inhibitors, including chromates, polyphosphates, molybdates, silicates, nitrites, ATMP, HEDP, and EDTMP, to enhance its inhibitory effect. It demonstrates excellent corrosion inhibition performance in closed-loop cooling water systems and can be used alongside various scale inhibitors and biocides. Benzotriazole does not interfere with the corrosion inhibition effect of polyphosphates and exhibits strong resistance to oxidation. However, its corrosion inhibition effect on copper is lost when it coexists with free chlorine but recovers once the chlorine is removed. The typical usage concentration is 1?C2 mg/L, and it maintains good corrosion inhibition within a pH range of 5.5 to 10, although its effectiveness decreases in more acidic media. |
