Product description:
As a chemical raw material, it can be used to produce acetone, hydrogen peroxide, methyl isobutyl ketone, diisobutyl ketone, isopropylamine, isopropyl ether, isopropyl chloride, as well as isopropyl esters of fatty acids and chlorinated fatty acids. In the fine chemicals industry, it can be utilized in the production of isopropyl nitrate, isopropyl xanthate, triisopropyl phosphite, aluminum isopropoxide, among others. It can also be used to manufacture diacetone alcohol, isopropyl acetate, thymol, and gasoline additives.
As a solvent, it is relatively inexpensive in industrial applications and has a wide range of uses. It mixes freely with water and has stronger dissolving power for lipophilic substances compared to ethanol. It serves as a solvent for nitrocellulose, rubber, coatings, shellac, alkaloids, and more, and can be used in the production of paints, inks, extraction agents, and aerosol agents. It also functions as an antifreeze, cleaning agent, additive in blended gasoline, dispersant in pigment production, fixing agent in the dyeing and printing industry, and anti-fogging agent for glass and transparent plastics. Additionally, it acts as a diluent for adhesives and is used in antifreeze and dehydrating agents.
As a chromatographic analysis standard, it is used to determine barium, calcium, copper, magnesium, nickel, potassium, sodium, strontium, nitrite, cobalt, and other elements.
